AHF Lifetime Achievement Award
The Lifetime Achievement Award is AHF's highest award given to a member who best exemplifies the leadership and spirit of our ASHFSA/HFM founders Jacques Bloch and Angelo Gagliano.
AHF Exemplary Leadership Award
The AHF Exemplary Leadership Award will be bestowed upon the operator member who best reflects the commitment to operational excellence that Don Marsh brought to healthcare foodservice. The award will recognize member contributions in their operations as well as to regional, local chapters or networking meetings. Eligibility will include operator and non operator members. At least one member demonstrating outstanding leadership at this level will be recognized each year.
Partnership in Leadership Award – Three categories
This award is given to a member facility that demonstrates a strong commitment to on-staff operations and provides support for the AHF Foodservice Director or Foodservice Administrative Director. This award classification will include three categories – two categories distinguished by bed size similar to the Benchmarking EXPRESS™ break outs and one representing Long Term Care.
- Major Medical Centers (over 200 beds) based on benchmarking breakout
- Hospitals (under 200 beds)
- Long Term Care
AHF Publication Award
The AHF Publication Award in memory of James C Rose for his leadership in publication contributions to the industry would recognize non-propriety document print or generally accepted media produced for industry related circulation. A presentation required at the annual conference and the schedule for the presentations decided upon by the conference committee.
AHF Spotlight Award
The AHF Spotlight Awards will recognize practice enhancement through technology, program development/implementation, innovative and creative use of managing finances would be examples of appropriate applications.
AHF Making a Difference Award
The AHF Making a Difference Award, in honor of John Cabot, is the Society's top award for business partners and the media. The Nominations will be open to all members and the selection will be made by Industry Advisory Board Chair.
The Presidential Special Services Award
The AHF President may recognize up to three operators and/or business partners for outstanding community service, strong media support for AHF members and committee contributions.
Future Horizons Award – Three categories
The AHF Future Horizons seek to recognize AHF members who are new to management or to the food service industry and who demonstrate a desire for future growth through contributions to their hospitals or community. Up to three awards may be given each year to operator members in healthcare foodservice leadership for five years or less. Award categories will include:
- A Major Med center (more than 200 beds)
- Hospitals (under 200 beds)
- Long Term care
