From the President: Reflections on the AHF Power of One Inaugural Conference...

Please join me in a resounding cheer for the Conference Planning Committee Co-Chairs and the entire Conference Planning Committee, including the AHF staff. They made the whole thing look so easy. This dedicated team of professionals developed and executed a fantastic program and they deserve your recognition.

The conference was a remarkable and memorable event, one that won't soon be forgotten. In fact, we heard from many members that it was the best conference they had ever attended! From the opening reception at the Texas State History Museum to the post-conference events, the entire time was filled with energy, networking and learning. We heard from speakers who inspired us to become better leaders. We learned what's important to healthcare executives and had opportunities for one-on-one sessions to enhance our knowledge of our numbers through benchmarking. We used social networking to leverage our professional connectedness, and had exposure to those with expertise in healthful café concepts and sustainability. We celebrated the "power of one" in a rousing orientation for all of us in the AHF family. We welcomed our eight inaugural chapters. We had invaluable networking and knowledge-sharing sessions with our business partners. All in all, the program content was just the right mixture of inspiration and practical "news you can use." I found at least one big idea in every session I attended, representing an incredible value.

If you were unable to attend the 2010 conference, please mark your calendars now for the 2011 conference to be held at the Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix, June 5-9, 2011. You won't want to miss it!

Again, hats off to all who made AHF's Inaugural Conference the best ever!
