The Association for Healthcare Foodservice Names the
2010 Award Program Winners
Louisville, KY (June 11, 2010) – The Association for Healthcare Foodservice (AHF) was proud to announce the 2010 winners of its awards program at the annual conference in Austin, TX. The seven awards-AHF Making a Difference, AHF Publication, Future Horizons, Spotlight, Partnership in Leadership, Exemplary, and Lifetime Achievement- are reserved for association-nominated individuals who have shown great leadership and achievement in the healthcare foodservice industry.
The 2010 AHF award winners include the following:
The Lifetime Achievement Award is AHF's highest award and is given to the individuals who best exemplify the leadership and spirit of legacy organization founders Jacques Bloch and Angelo Gagliano. To qualify for this prestigious award, members must contribute to AHF, legacy associations, healthcare/foodservice profession and community. They must show strong leadership role model skills as well as represent AHF values.

AHF Making a Difference Award: is given in honor of John Cabot to recognize exceptional business and media partners. The 2010 winner is Marie Nelson from Marshall, Minnesota.
The AHF Exemplary Award recognizes a member who best reflects operational excellence and/or contributions to regional, local chapters or local meetings. To qualify for this award, the receiver must exhibit strong leadership skills as well as contribute results to AHF, employer and community.

The Future Horizons Award is reserved for up to three operator members who have participated in the foodservice industry for five years or less, are new to management, and demonstrate desire for professional growth through hospital and community involvement. To be eligible, the recipient must show personal development through work and academic experience, while also demonstrating contributions to employer, area of responsibility, AHF, and leadership in AHF values.
Future Horizons Award Winner Is:

The Spotlight Award is given to the operator member who has enhanced their operations through technology, program development, implementation, innovation, and/or creative use of financial management.
